Our Story

Movement Official (Movement Swim/Movement) is a sustainable swimwear brand founded in Charlotte NC by Eleanor (Ellie) Quach in December of 2020. Our mission is to create versatile swimwear with high quality recycled fabrics. The envisioning of Movement began when Ellie was shopping for bathing suits for an upcoming beach trip with her two best friends, but they could not find high quality swimsuits that were sustainable yet affordable and thus she decided to start Movement.

Each piece is designed with the intention of giving women more choices in style and function. Our products are constructed in Indonesia and Colombia by the amazing teams of dressmakers. At Movement, we believe that each swimsuit is personal; therefore, we are continuously working to create environmentally friendly swimsuits that will enhance women’s bodies.

Our Culture

Movement Official encourages people to take the actions and make the changes they want to see in the world. One of the actions we’ve chosen is to use fabrics that are made of recycled materials. Using these materials allow us to eliminate the use of new resources, and we are able to develop endless possibilities for creating unique designs.

Secondly, we believe that the most sustainable way is to reduce consumption; therefore, we strive to create designs that are versatile. For example, our swimsuits are reversible and interchangeable so our customers can wear them in numerous combinations. With Movement swimsuits being versatile, our customers will feel good knowing that they are sustainable and that they made a conscious eco friendly purchase.

Giving Back

Movement Official is passionate about giving back. As a matter of fact, it is in our roots. Therefore, we are proud to be donating 5% of our revenue to Pacific Links Foundation.

Pacific Links Foundation has over 20 years of empowering vulnerable women and youth against human trafficking and forced labor. "We deliver innovative, evidence-based solutions to increase access to education and economic opportunities to prevent trafficking, reintegrate trafficking survivors, and build partnerships in Vietnam and transit and destination countries across Asia and Europe. Since 2001, we have served more than 200,000 people to build a brighter tomorrow". Learn more at pacificlinks.org.

While we may not be able to solve all of the world's problems ourselves, we believe that together we can make a difference.
